Spooky Studio ("the app", "we") turns photos you choose into Halloween-themed images using AI. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Photos you upload and the images generated from them. Used only to create your images.
• A random app identifier created on your device. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number and you don't need an account.
• Purchase records (product, transaction id) processed by Apple and RevenueCat so we can deliver your credits.
• IP address, used briefly for abuse prevention and security.

AI processing by third parties

To create your image, your uploaded photo and a style description are sent to Google through the paid Gemini API, which generates the result. The photo is processed only to produce your result. Under the paid Gemini API terms, Google does not use this data to improve its products and may keep it only for a limited time to detect abuse. We do not use your photos to train AI models and we do not sell your data. The app asks for your permission before any photo is sent.

Where your photos are stored

Uploaded photos (resized, with location and other metadata removed) and generated images are stored on our own server in Frankfurt, Germany. They are never public: the app reaches them through private links that expire. The app only saves an image to your photo library when you tap Save.

Retention and deletion

We keep your uploaded photos and generated images on our server so you can view and download your portraits again later, until you delete them. You can delete a single creation at any time, or all of your photos at once from Settings → "Delete my data"; deleted photos are removed from our server immediately. You can also email us to have your data deleted. Purchased credits are kept so you don't lose them.

Face data

We don't build face recognition templates, biometric identifiers or profiles. Photos are used only to generate the image you requested.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13. Please only upload photos of people who have agreed to it.

Tracking

We don't track you across apps or websites and we don't use advertising identifiers.
